While these groups may have different functions, the church’s purpose should provide the common thread:

The Church’s Purpose determines their reason for existence.
You should be able to provide a rational for why this group is needed to help the church fulfill it’s purpose. If not, it is possibly wasting precious time and resources.

The Church’s Purpose is the end toward which all work.
The church purpose should be used as a grid through which all decisions are made. If not, it is possibly fragmenting rather than unifying the church.
The Church Purpose is what helps all the various ministries remain coordinated within the church. No committee, board, department, or team should be an end to itself. Yet, within the framework of the church’s purpose, great freedom can be given.
Men's Department
One might wonder how men's ministry is any different from a woman's ministry or for that matter, any kind of ministry. After all, it would seem that ministry, if done in service for the Lord, is all the same regardless of the gender, age, or race of the individual serving.
Men's Ministry is the active pursuit of men in order to connect them to God, His Word, and other men for the purpose of winning, growing, and training God's man in Christ.
We know one thing for sure -- God will use the heart and life of anyone who chooses to make himself available to Him. The Bible says, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." This is the great commission spoken by Jesus Himself. In other words, Jesus Christ is commissioning His followers to go into the entire world and reproduce believers. This is a big calling.
Youth Department

Women's Ministry
A women’s ministry is an extension of the church with focus on women and spiritual development. In a typical women’s ministry, women meet with the purpose of worshipping, educating, loving, and supporting women in their group.

Being a pastor can be a lonely and brutal job. It’s a task that requires determination, tenacity and a work ethic that rivals most NFL coaches. Even if a pastor is gifted in many areas he cannot accomplish everything on his own. In fact, pastoring is nothing new, because it’s been around for a long time.
In the Old Testament Pastor Moses, the first mega-church pastor, had more problems that most pastors can dream up. At one point he almost had a nervous breakdown until the Lord intervened and sent him a wise mentor and raised up a staff around him.
If Moses couldn’t do everything by himself, then it is more important than ever for a pastor to have a staff around him that can help to accomplish the God-given vision. With this in mind, there are some characteristics that every pastor needs in a staff:

Music Ministry
The music ministry of a church is important for the entire congregation. For the unsaved, it sets the mood for them to hear the gospel and receive the gift of salvation. For the newly saved, it should be exciting enough to awaken them to hear the Word of God for instruction.
